Drunk Driver Kills Passenger in Bay Shore Motorcycle Crash

Michael Proctor Pleads Not Guilty to DWI Charge

Bay Shore Man Arrested for Driving While Intoxicated

A Bay Shore man has been arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) after a motorcycle crash that killed his passenger. Michael Proctor, 26, was driving his 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle east on Sunrise Highway at around 12:30 a.m. when he crashed. The passenger, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Proctor was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was later charged with DWI and arraigned in court. He pleaded not guilty and was released on bail. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

DWI is a serious offense that can result in severe penalties, including jail time and loss of license. If you are convicted of DWI, you will also be required to install an ignition interlock device in your vehicle.

If you are caught driving while intoxicated, you should contact an experienced criminal defense attorney as soon as possible. An attorney can help you understand your rights and options, and can work to get your charges reduced or dismissed.
