Boy Scouts of America Rebrands as Scouts BSA

New Name Reflects Inclusion of Girls

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has officially changed its name to Scouts BSA, a move that reflects the organization's ongoing efforts to become more inclusive.

The change, which was announced in 2018, was approved by the BSA's National Executive Board and takes effect immediately. The new name will be used for all BSA programs, including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturing.

In addition to the name change, the BSA has also made a number of other changes in recent years to become more inclusive. In 2017, the BSA began accepting transgender youth into its programs. In 2018, the BSA announced that it would allow girls to join Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.

The BSA's rebranding is a significant step forward for the organization. The new name and logo better reflect the BSA's commitment to inclusivity and diversity. The BSA is now the largest youth organization in the United States, with over 2.3 million members.
